We are all seeking to find and become our most grounded and joy filled self. My practice is focused on providing a safe place for women of all ages to explore every aspect of their human condition, both beautiful and difficult; through quality, intentional and honest therapeutic support. My hope is to help you pursue a deeper understanding of who you are, and the desires of your heart; so that you might live life abundantly.
I specialize in the treatment of women and teen girls who struggle with anxiety, depression, and life adjustment. I place a special emphasis on a healing process that considers self-esteem, body image, relationships, communication, boundaries, comparison, perfectionism and shame. I also enjoy encouraging my clients to dream and grow!
I received my BS in psychology from the University of Arkansas, and later continued my education at the University of Texas at Arlington to obtain Master in Social Work. I have gained a wealth of experience working with women in several different settings throughout my career. I have worked with pregnant teen girls, and Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. I have also had the opportunity to work with women in an inpatient psychiatric setting. Prior to opening my practice I worked in hospice for over 3 years. Having the opportunity to support families during their loved ones dying process has shaped who I am as a person and a counselor. I have also served New Friends New Life, an organization that helps restore and empower formerly trafficked girls and sexually exploited women and their children. My professional and personal background working with women and girls at varying stages of their life has fostered my passion for their hearts.
I became a fully Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2014- which allows me to fulfill my lifetime dream of opening Bishop’s Counseling for Women. In 2015, I became a Certified Christian Therapist to better support those who value their faith as a part of their healing process.
